A clear MU Online commands & keyboard shortcuts reference: default hotkeys, chat keys, and common /addstr, /reset, /pkclear and offline store commands.
MU Online Rehberleri 2026: sezonlar, sınıflar, PvP ve güvenli serverlar
This is your quick cheat sheet for MU Online hotkeys (keyboard shortcuts) and the slash commands you will see on most servers. The keyboard shortcuts are built into the official game, so they work almost everywhere. The typed /commands are added by each server (the company or person running that copy of the game), so always check your server's own list before you count on them.
Base client vs server-custom: why it matters
MU Online's controls come in two kinds. Mixing them up is the number one reason a "command" suddenly stops working when you move to a new server.
- Keyboard hotkeys and chat prefixes live inside the official Webzen client (the actual game program everyone downloads). They act the same on almost every server, from the very old "classic 97d" version to the newest seasons. A season is just a big content update, like a chapter.
- Slash commands like
/reset,/pkclear,/addstrand/offstoreare written by the people who run each server, not by the official game. So the exact spelling, what you need to use them (a level, VIP, or some Zen, the in-game gold), and even whether they exist at all can change from server to server.
If a command starts with a slash ("/"), treat it as server-only until you have checked it. Look at the server's website, its Discord, or the notices inside the game. The best MU Online private servers guide shows how these custom commands fit into picking a good server.
Core interface hotkeys (default client)
These keys open the game's windows and panels. They are part of the base game, so they work on nearly every modern MU server. A few windows only exist in later seasons (newer updates), and those are flagged below.
| Key | Opens | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| C | Character stats window | Shift+C opens the extended stats page on newer seasons |
| V or I | Inventory | Press I then S to open your Personal Store |
| M | Warp / move (teleport) menu | Pick a town or hunting map |
| U | Skill tree | Default skill-tree key |
| A | Master Skill Tree | Newer seasons; Ctrl+A / Ctrl+J for higher trees on Season 16+ |
| T | Quest window | Track and turn in quests |
| G | Guild information window | Members, marks, notices |
| F | Friends List & Mailbox | Friends and in-game mail |
| P | Personal Store List | Browse other players' shops |
| X | Cash Item Shop | In-game store panel |
| D | Command / character-commands list | Also Alt+Right click |
| Tab | Mini-map toggle | Show or hide the corner map |
| O | Options menu | Graphics, sound, settings |
| ESC | System menu | Log out, exit, main menu |
Older versions (Season 1 to 6) have fewer windows, so some keys simply do nothing. Newer keys like A (Master Skill Tree), K (Gremory Case), Y (Muun inventory), B (Gens) and N (party/guild matching) only show up on newer versions of the game. Check which season your server runs. For how characters grow long-term, see the Master Level guide.
Movement, combat & item keys
This group is all about how you move, attack and grab loot (the items monsters drop). Just like the interface hotkeys, these are built into the base game, so you can rely on them.
| Input | Action | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Left mouse | Move / interact | Primary action |
| Right mouse | Use selected skill | Alternate action |
| Hold Ctrl | Attack other players (PvP) | PvP means player-versus-player fighting |
| Hold Shift | Stand still while attacking | Keeps you in place |
| Space | Pick up ground items | Grabs the nearest drop |
| Alt | Toggle item names on ground | Alt+Right click opens commands |
| 1 - 9, 0 | Select skills | Cycle your slots |
| Q, W, E (R on some) | Quick-slot consumables | HP, MP, antidote |
| Ctrl + number | Assign a skill to a slot | Sets up your hotbar |
| Alt + number | Fire macros | Newer clients only |
Your skill keys matter most while levelling (gaining levels) and farming (killing monsters over and over for items and Zen). A clean, well-set-up hotbar (your row of skill slots) makes both way smoother. The levelling guide and Zen farming guide go great with this, and the classes guide explains which skills each class actually needs.
Chat keys & channel prefixes
Chat has a few keys, plus some handy one-character prefixes. A prefix is just a symbol you type at the start of your message to send it to a certain chat channel (party, guild, and so on). These prefixes are part of the base game, not a server add-on, so they work on most versions.
| Input | What it does | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Enter | Open / close the chat box | Press again to send |
| Up / Down arrows | Recall past messages | Scroll what you typed before |
| ~ before text | Party chat (blue) | Only your party sees it |
| @ before text | Guild chat (green) | Goes to your guild |
| @@ before text | Alliance chat (yellow) | Allied guilds |
| F5 / F9 / F10 / F11 / F12 | Toggle chat panels | Chat, Gens, public, recent, guild on Season 6+ clients |
The base game has no fixed letter for inviting someone to your party (your team). Instead, click on the player and send a party request from the right-click menu, or use the party/matching window (the N key on newer versions). Some launchers can also change what the F-keys do. For team-based stuff, see the events guide.
Add-stat commands (common on private servers)
Now we move on to typed slash commands. Add-stat commands are super common because they let you dump thousands of stat points at once, instead of clicking the little plus button over and over. They are not in the official game, but most private servers (servers run by fans, not by Webzen) add them in.
| Command | Adds points to | Notes |
|---|---|---|
/addstr <amount> | Strength | /addstr 3000 adds 3,000 points |
/addagi <amount> | Agility | Defence and attack speed |
/addvit <amount> | Vitality | More HP |
/addene <amount> | Energy | Caster damage and skill power |
/addcmd <amount> | Command | Dark Lord only |
/addstr auto <value> | Auto-distribute | Funnels points in; run with no value to stop |
On many classic versions of the game, pushing a single stat above 32,767 can turn the number red and act buggy. That is because of an old technical limit in how the game stores numbers. High-rate servers (servers where you level up much faster) often handle this differently. Plan your build (how you split your points) first with the stat builds guide.
Reset, PK & broadcast commands
These get used a ton on reset-style servers, but every one of them is set up by the server. The admin (the person in charge) decides what each command does, what it costs, and its cooldown (the wait before you can use it again). So read the notes below as the usual pattern, not a promise.
/resetresets your character. A reset sends you back to level 1 in exchange for some reward the server offers, like extra stat points (see the server's reset table, explained in the EXP, drop and reset guide). EXP is short for experience, the points you earn to level up./pkclearclears your PK status. PK ("player killer") is the outlaw mark you get for killing other players, and clearing it often costs some Zen (in-game gold)./post <message>sends a message to the whole server (a broadcast), usually for a fee or with a cooldown.- Other versions include
/tpost(a trade message),/gpost(a message across servers) and/online(shows how many players are online).
Whether /reset keeps your stats, what it costs, and how many extra points it gives can totally change how balanced a server feels. If a server sells resets for real money, that is basically pay-to-win (people who pay get stronger). Compare both styles in the reset vs no-reset guide, then browse no-reset servers.
Offline store & offline farming commands
Offline commands let your character keep working even after you log off, which is why they are so popular on busy servers. The catch: they do not all use the same name, so the exact spelling depends on the server.
| Command (varies) | What it does | Notes |
|---|---|---|
/offstore or /offtrade | Keeps your shop selling while you are logged out | The server has to turn this on (e.g. CustomStoreOfflineSwitch) |
/offattack or /offlevel | Keeps your character auto-hunting and levelling while offline (using MU Helper) | The server has to turn this on (e.g. CustomAttackOfflineSwitch) |
Since the spelling changes from server to server, do not assume one version works everywhere. Also expect some kind of limit, like a minimum level, a VIP rank, or a time cap on how long it runs. MU Helper is the game's auto-hunt system (it plays for you), and the MU Helper guide covers it in full.
Offline store and offline-attack are the two commands people mix up the most in MU. Before you log off thinking your shop will keep selling, double-check the exact command and its cost on the server's website or Discord. A clear, easy-to-find command list is usually the sign of a well-run server, as the best private servers guide explains.
Inventory & vault utility commands
This last group is all about convenience. These typed commands save you trips to NPCs (the computer-controlled shop characters) and help clear clutter. They depend on the server, though, and plenty of servers do not have them at all.
/openvaultopens your vault (your warehouse, the extra storage box) without walking to an NPC./clearinv,/cleareventinvand/clearvaultquickly clear out a bunch of inventory and event items at once./store coin,/store gpand/store ruudlet you pick which currency you sell for on some Season 16+ servers. Ruud is a special currency used in newer content.
To open your own Personal Store (your player shop), press I then S. Press P to browse other players' shops. If your server uses Ruud, the jewels guide and Pentagram guide explain what is actually worth selling. And when something breaks, start with the troubleshooting guide.
The D key opens the in-game list of character commands, and many servers add their own custom ones to it. It is the quickest way to see what a server supports without ever leaving the game.
Frequently asked questions
What is the keyboard shortcut for inventory and character stats in MU Online?
Press V or I to open your inventory, and C to open the character stats window. On newer seasons (newer updates), Shift+C opens an extra stats page. All of these are built into the official game, so they work on nearly every server.
Are slash commands like /reset and /addstr part of the official MU Online game?
No. Every command that starts with a slash, like /reset, /pkclear, /post, /addstr and /offstore, is added by the people who run the server. They are not official Webzen features, so the spelling, cost and rules around them can be different on every server.
How do I add a lot of stat points at once?
On most private servers, type an add-stat command. For example, /addstr 3000 adds 3,000 Strength. Use /addene, /addagi and /addvit for the other stats (and /addcmd for a Dark Lord's Command stat). Many servers also have an auto-distribute version, like /addstr auto, that keeps spending your points for you.
How do I write in party or guild chat?
Start your message with a prefix (a symbol at the front): ~ sends it to party chat (blue), @ to guild chat (green), and @@ to alliance chat (yellow, for allied guilds). These prefixes are built into the base game and work on almost every version of MU.
What is the difference between offline store and offline attack commands?
An offline store command (often /offstore or /offtrade) keeps your shop selling while you are logged off. An offline attack or level command (often /offattack or /offlevel) keeps your character hunting monsters on its own using MU Helper while you are away. They are spelled differently on different servers, and you usually need a certain level, a VIP rank, or you only get a set amount of time.
Why does a command that worked on one server not work on another?
Because typed slash commands are made by each server. A server can rename them, change the price, add rules, or turn them off completely. Hotkeys and chat prefixes stay the same everywhere, but for slash commands you should always check that server's own list. Pressing the D key in-game shows you what that server supports.
Put these commands to use on a live server
Hotkeys and commands only really matter once you are playing on a server you actually like. Make a short list from the live ranking, then jump in and start playing.
