• Ignore login requests in chat. Anyone asking for your account details in-game is trying to scam you.

• A clear bot policy and active anti-cheat. This is the number one signal in Silkroad. If the server does not talk about bots at all, assume the worst.
• A living job war. Check that traders, hunters and thieves are all active. An empty road means the best part of the game is missing.
• An honest listing. Cap, rates and shop policy should be stated plainly, with no vague hype.
