Custom servers can be great-read change logs before you build so you do not waste time.
Custom servers add new items, maps, or class tweaks. They can be fresh and fun, or broken if not managed. Before you start, read the change log: which items were added, what their options are, and whether PvP normalizes anything. If a server explains why changes exist, builds make sense and trading stays healthy.
Start with a simple AoE build, then check if new options (e.g., socket lines or set bonuses) change your usual path. Keep a small stash of jewels to react to patches. Customs should enhance the loop, not erase it-if events and maps still matter, you are in a good place.
