Custom servers add new items, maps, or class tweaks. They can be fresh and fun, or broken if not managed. Before you start, read the change log: which items were added, what their options are, and whether PvP normalizes anything. If a server explains why changes exist, builds make sense and trading stays healthy.
Start with a simple AoE build, then check if new options (e.g., socket lines or set bonuses) change your usual path. Keep a small stash of jewels to react to patches. Customs should enhance the loop, not erase it—if events and maps still matter, you are in a good place.
