Welcome to the quarterly “Best of” roundup for MU Online. This Q3 2026 edition is built entirely from live Mutop100 listing data as of July 13, 2026: the ten most-voted servers with their listed season, EXP rate, country and opening date; the grand openings scheduled for July–September; and the season adoption numbers behind it all. Vote totals reset on the first of every month, so the counts below are July votes — a picture of who is busy right now.

The state of MU private servers in Q3 2026

The scene enters Q3 busier than it started the year. Our owner-submitted database tracked 4 new MU server openings in January, 5 in February, 7 in March, 8 in April, 10 in May and 12 in June — a steady climb through the first half of 2026 — with 7 more already dated for July. Season 6 remains the most-listed version overall, but this quarter's vote leaders are Season 21 Part 3 servers, and classic Season 1–2 servers hold more top-ten spots than they have in recent memory. The details, with sources you can click, are below.

Top 10 servers by player votes (July 13, 2026)

Ranked by this month's vote totals on the live listings. For today's exact order, use the live server list.

  1. Mu online S21 - Specials - Longterm - FAST — 1,986 votes. Season 21 Part 3, x9999 EXP, United Kingdom, opened June 12, 2026. The quarter's breakout launch: top of the board within its first full month.
  2. TopMuonline - Season 21 part 3 - Unique — 1,728 votes. Season 21 Part 3, x7777 EXP, United States, opened April 18, 2026. Held a top position through Q2 and into Q3 — sustained votes, not launch hype.
  3. Top Mu online 2026 — 913 votes. Season 21 Part 3 at an ultra x99999 rate, Germany, opened May 15, 2026. The fastest configuration in the top ten.
  4. Mu Instinto Online Since 2018 — 727 votes. Season 6 Part 3, x500, Venezuela, opened July 21, 2018. The list's long-hauler celebrates eight years online this month.
  5. MU Glory 99B+ Season I — 316 votes. Season 1 Part 3 with 99B+ styling, x9999, Bolivia, opened May 20, 2026.
  6. MU PLUS ONE — 224 votes. Season 2 Part 3 at a low x30 rate, Chile, opened June 27, 2026. The quarter's strongest low-rate entry.
  7. Mu Margarita Season 6 — 210 votes. Season 6 Part 1, x250, Brazil, opened January 10, 2026 and voted steadily every month since.
  8. MU Eternal S6.18 — 205 votes. Season 6 Part 3, x10 with dynamic EXP, a 10-reset cap and a no-P2W policy per its listing; Singapore, opened June 19, 2026.
  9. Mu RgZ 99 — 166 votes. Season 1 Part 1, x10, Peru, online since September 24, 2025 — original-era MU at near-original pace.
  10. Rere4Fun — 134 votes. Season 1 Part 1, x500, Romania, opened April 25, 2026.

Read of the quarter: the podium is all Season 21 Part 3 at x7777 or faster, while positions 5–10 are dominated by Season 6 and Seasons 1–2 at every pace from x10 to x9999. Modern-season, high-rate servers win the raw vote counts; classic servers win on breadth, holding half the table.

Grand openings: July–September 2026

These are the dated MU launches on our books for the quarter so far, in opening order. New openings are added continuously — the grand openings calendar is the live version of this list.

  • MU NEXT ONLINE — opened July 3. Season 6 Part 1, x100, France.
  • MuDarkBest — opened July 11. Season 6 Part 1, x800, Brazil.
  • VexaMu — opened July 12. Season 21 Part 2 at a low x50 rate, Netherlands — a rare slow-paced take on modern content.
  • 24MU Online — opens July 15. Season 6 Part 3, x100, Ukraine.
  • Mu Infinity — opens July 18. Season 3 Part 3, x200, United States.
  • ArchangelMU — opens July 18. Season 6 Part 3, x100, Bulgaria.
  • haedomu 2026 — opens July 31. Season 8 Part 3 at x1, Argentina — the hardest-core launch of the quarter, and already collecting pre-opening votes.

Pattern worth noting: four of the seven dated Q3 launches are Season 6, and five of the seven run x200 or lower. The quarter's new servers lean classic and slow, even while the vote leaders are modern and fast — two different audiences being served at once. August and September dates land on the calendar closer to their openings, so check back or watch new servers.

Across the 88 owner-submitted MU listings active in our database on July 13, 2026:

  • Season 6 is still the standard. 35 listings — roughly 4 in 10 — run some part of Season 6, more than any other version by a wide margin. It remains the scene's default recipe.
  • Modern seasons are the vote magnets. Season 20 (12 listings) and Season 21 (11 listings) together account for about a quarter of the list, but they punch far above that weight in votes: the three most-voted servers this month are all Season 21 Part 3.
  • Early-season classic is a real trend, not a novelty. Seasons 1 through 4 combine for 24 listings — including two top-ten servers on Season 1 alone — and several of the quarter's launches (Season 2, Season 3, Season 8) sit outside the usual Season 6/Season 20+ split entirely.
  • Launch volume keeps climbing. Monthly dated openings rose every single month in H1 2026 (4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12 from January to June). July already has 7 dated openings with two-plus weeks of the month remaining.

Choosing by rate, region and safe setup

Carried over from earlier editions of this series, the same three filters still narrow the list fastest:

  • By rate: low-rate worlds (x1–x100) reward patience with deep economies and long character arcs but make catch-up slow; mid-rate worlds balance progress and PvP pacing for most players; high-rate worlds (x1000+) suit fast resets, alts and instant PvP but tend to have shallower economies and shorter seasons — join those at launch.
  • By region: latency matters in PvP and Siege, so filter by country close to you or your guild — for example United States, Brazil, Poland, Germany or the Philippines. If your team is split across regions, a consistent 70–90ms for everyone beats one player at 20ms and the rest at 140ms.
  • Safe setup: download the client only from the official site linked on the listing, compare checksums when provided, keep one folder per server so patchers don't overwrite each other, and install DirectX/Visual C++ from Microsoft if missing. The full walkthrough is in the safe downloads guide.

How this roundup is compiled

Everything above comes from Mutop100's own listing data: player vote totals (which reset on the first of each month), and the season, EXP rate, country and opening date that each server publishes on its listing. We do not estimate player counts, and we do not add review anecdotes — where a configuration detail like a reset cap or no-P2W policy is mentioned, it comes from the server's own listing. How votes are counted and screened is documented in the methodology, and our sourcing rules are in the editorial policy.
